So lately I have been binge watching Gilmore Girls, which I just finished for the first time and then on to Gilmore Girls – A Year in the Life.

And you know what scenes, I loved most from “Year in the Life”? The gorilla masks and steampunk serenade surprise with Rory and her old school friends. It was just so fun and playful and nostalgic of being young.

Back in my senior year I took a road trip with the family and my request of an activity was to do a backstage film tour of the film lots of Warner Brother Studios. We got to see the Gilmore Girls set. And now, 15 or so years later, I am finally enjoying it. I’ve been hooked. The writing with characters and all the parallels and contrasts and conflict they draw up are classic and a lot of life lessons are learned.

Anyway, I love the youthful energy the Yale crew brought back to surprise Rory and I was thinking about how I also feel that way when I am around my seniors doing their photography. I am no longer a spring chicken, but I certainly enjoy photographing my seniors and smiling at this awesome stage they are in as they start a new chapter in life. Brings back the nostalgia every time. So here is to starting new chapters, closing old ones and appreciating each stage of life we pass through with the lessons learned, friendships made and memories we take with us.
What chapter are you in? Each comes with it’s own hardships, joys and lessons learned.
