  • Backpack Basics Fundraiser Portrait Event!

This year Rebecca Mabey Photography is raising funds to support Crayons to Calculators St. Vrain Valley.  This important program provides backpacks filled with schools supplies for students in St. Vrain Valley Schools.  My personal fundraising goal is $500.

Did you know that families spend an average of $100 per year for each child’s school supplies? In St. Vrain Valley Schools 32% of students live at or near the poverty level and often go without essentials. This program ensures that students have the supplies for success.

To learn more about this program visit https://stvrainfoundation.org/programs/crayons-to-calculators/

Together we can make sure each student starts the school year with the supplies they need to be successful and have a strong academic year.

  • Oldtown Fort Collins Senior Portrait Session

I love to incorporate what my seniors love into their sessions! So for Sam we of course adding in some magic at the piano. Fun fact. Sam had Prom on the day of his session and we managed to do all the outfits and spots planned.

One thing that I LOVE that old town Fort Collins does, are all the old pianos painted in the most fun and colorful ways and they grace the various alleyways and side streets. It has been so rainy this year, which fortunately we did not have to content with for this session, but we happened across this piano in the parking garage.

  • How We show our Clients Virtual Previews for their Wall Art Considerations

  • Is there anything better than a newborns smile?

Seriously though, isn’t it the sweetest. Sarah and her little man. This entire family session was simply endearing to say the least. Here are some of my favorites.

First off… A celebration! And what is better to celebrate then a new little addition to the family. So we pulled out the fourth of July pom poms. Yes, I own fourth of July Pom Poms. I think if there is need for a fun idea for something, I keep it and then BAM! They do happen to come in perfectly handy for the perfect fun patriotic and celebratory family portrait.

I always love working with our rich blue wall in the studio for these fun family moments.

Cozied up and no where to go on this rainy Saturday morning. But seriously, we have gotten SO much rain.

When we can get some with babies eyes open, they are just treasures.

Content and happy on mamas shoulder.

Interested in documenting that special new chapter with your newborn? Do not wait until baby has come to set up a session! Let’s chat and create a boutique experience unique to you. I photograph newborns in the 5-10 day window.

Email studio@rebeccamabeyphotography.com to set up a call to get started.

  • Downtown Longmont Senior Portraits | Christopher

It is such a joy to meet and work with so many great teens around here in Longmont. Chris plays in the band at his school. Christopher mixed in some nice formality into his session on this beautiful early fall morning. I always love the flowers at the Callahan House this time of year. Nothing like dressing up a bit and making mama’s heart happy looking at her handsome son getting ready to go out into the world.

Youth could always use a professional headshot as they prepare for college! Message me to set up your session.

After our time in the garden we popped over to downtown and hit main street! I love our charming downtown. All the shops and quaint character it has to offer.

And I happen to have a soft spot for that perfect rock-hard brick. Guess it is a weird photographer thing haha.

Earlier today I enjoyed brunch with a friend downtown at the Tangerine. Have you been? Yum! You have got to go and I highly recommend the eggs benedict. Everything you order there just has so much great flavor. Love it. It is one of my go-to brunch stops for sure.

  • In Studio Longmont Newborn Session

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing newborns for this sweet young family from our church. They just invited their second little boy into the family.

This star moon backdrop is one of several hand-painted pieces I have added as newborn backdrops to the studio! We have also added, fall, beach, and spring. What kind of backdrop would you like to see? Let me know in the comments.

  • Flat Irons Family Pictures | The Ward Family

Could this session have turned out more perfectly! What a beautiful crew! And we could have not asked for better weather. I was thrilled to squeeze these guys in for a fall session by the breathtaking flatiron vista before I had to zip away for my own family fun. We have really had fall color last a long time around here but if you have lived in Colorado long, you know that it can take a few timely snow storms and it is gone, either lasting two weeks or six with true color.

I love to take my time for a session! We capture all of the unique relationships and you will FOREVER look back and love these pictures. A full session typically lasts about 45-60 minutes. And we mix things up to keep it fun.
